Isolating machinery and stored energy before anyone works on it is the difference between routine maintenance and a serious injury. This video-led course explains how lock out / tag out works in practice, so that anyone who services, cleans or repairs equipment knows how to make it safe first.

- The types of energy that need to be controlled: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal and stored
- A step-by-step lock out / tag out procedure from shutdown to safe restart
- Locks, tags and devices, and who is allowed to remove them
- Your responsibilities under workplace safety and work-equipment legislation

Maintenance, engineering, production and facilities staff who work on or near plant and machinery, and the supervisors who authorise that work.
